** - You can only throw a coup if your team owns no planet, you
have at least one kill, and you are orbiting your home planet
which must have 4 or less armies on it.

*** - You have to position the cursor in the menu bar area. To
declare war, type 'f', 'r', 'o', 'k'. To declare peace, type
'/f', '/r', '/o', '/k'. For example, if you want to declare
war on FED and ORI and peace with KLI and ROM, you type:

                fo/k/r

       The order does not matter.

In MacNetrek, the menu "Special" contains commands that are relavent
during a MacNetrek playing session. These commands are not available
when you are in the communication mode. As soon as you get into the
Entry window, the commands are enabled and you can access these
special commands. However, when the tactical window is showing, you
can not access the menu commands through pull-down menus. The only
way to access commands listed in the menubar is by command short cuts.
The following is a list of command short cuts that you can use during
a playing session. Please note that these commands are only relavent
to MacNetrek, they are not part of the regular netrek command set.
Cmd-<key> means holding down the "Apple" key and press the <key>:

Cmd-D : Toggle between player list and messages.
Cmd-Q : Quit MacNetrek application.
Cmd-A : Abort ndb. This command causes the ndb program that
MacNetrek is connected to abort. Use this when you
can not exit the playing session the regular way.
Cmd-1 : Toggle between receive and not receive "To All" messages.
Cmd-2 : Toggle between receive and not receive "To Team"
                messages.
Cmd-3 : Toggle between receive and not receive "To Self" messages.
Cmd-4 : Toggle between receive and not receive "Kill" messages.
Cmd-W : Toggle between receive and not receive warning messages.
Cmd-S : Toggle between receive and not receive playerlist updates.
Cmd-L : Refresh galactic display. This causes a redraw on the
                galactic display.
Cmd-T : Request ndb to use TCP to communicate with server.
Cmd-U : Request ndb to use UDP to communicate with server (default).
